JDA Dijon Considers Legal Action Against Juhann Begarin
A notable incident unfolded at the end of the match between Monaco and JDA Dijon, quickly circulating across social media. With less than two minutes remaining in the game, a heated altercation erupted between Juhann Begarin and Quentin Losser. The Dijon player, struck in the eyebrow area by a punch, was forced to leave the court bleeding from the face.
Following this event, JDA Dijon's sports director, Fabien Romeyer, indicated that the club is contemplating legal proceedings against Juhann Begarin. "We will meet to make a decision, but no option is being ruled out," he stated. Romeyer also provided an update on Quentin Losser's condition, confirming that he received stitches above his eyebrow from Monaco's medical team and would be seeing a doctor for a thorough evaluation. The sports director expressed his dismay, calling Begarin's action "unacceptable on a sports field" and "antithetical to all sporting values," stating he was both "shocked and surprised."
For his part, Juhann Begarin publicly apologized for his conduct via social media. However, it remains uncertain whether these apologies will be enough to calm the tense situation with the Dijon club.
